HOW TO UNLOCK : The M98B is an unlockable sniper rifle in Battlefield 3 for the Recon class, and is one of the hardest sniper rifles to unlock, being often the last unlock available. The M98B offers great accuracy and damage at long range in Battlefield 3, especially when paired with a 12X scope.

@tantorecords No, it’s more of which on their blogs on the forums. When the community addresses the issue, they try to fix it. I’m sure sooner or later this issue will be fixed. Dealing with a brand new engine and trying to fix everything is not that easy but I can easily say they are working on it, same as for patching the flashlights and so on. No ETA on the XBOX update, PC update should be happening today, and this is all they have told me on twitter.

@Snapshot290 I know they used to…. but now they don’t – thats what I’m saying here. I can’t understand it at all. Moving headshots used to kill all the time. Now I can’t kill anyone with a single bolt action round regardless of whether it’s in the face or their bellend. It’s bizarre. Maybe it’s my internet connection?
@tantorecords Headshots always kill with any sniper. Make sire your hitting above the chin, might help to avoid the helmet (but thats a myth).
@tantorecords well than your horrible at the class plain and simple i get headshots all the time. If it doesnt tell you that you shot him in the head then you didnt hit him in the head. Hey hey guess what ask any other player who use the recon class with snipers and theyll say the same thing bitch
@megaconda07 Im talking about headshots you noob. I only take headshots, and yet it does not kill people anymore. Blood comes out and a hitmarker, but no kill. It’s bs. And you’re full of it too.

@tantorecords Ok we had powerful snipers originally but people spammed it so they nerfed it, and the guys who spammed it being noobs went to the next strongest gun which like you said is the lmg’s. And like I said earlier stop being a noob and shoot the head, I have no problem hitting a guy at 800 mtrs with a headshot and im fricken 13 years old and i have yet to be killed by a lmg farther than 100 mtrs so I wonder what that says about you.
@megaconda07 No This is completely wrong. Sniper rifles are underpowered in this game, I am sick to bloody death of headshots at 2 – 500meters not killing people when using bolt actions, it simply doesnt happen like that in real life. Currently lmg’s like the m249 and the others are the spam weapons, they kill in 2 rounds fire hundreds per minute, have NO bullet drop whatsoever and can shoot up to 400m. its a joke. It takes skill to kill with a bolt action like this.
can i get this on normall batllefield 3 or batllefield 3 limited edition?
@Tj1056 I understand that but people spam the snipers and if they were realy powerful what used would it make to use the other weapons. The snipers would overpower the other guns and everyone would use them. A guy runs around with one and gets automatic 1 shot kills. Do you see what im getting at?
